Dictionary of Literary Biography Complete Online

The Library also began a subscription to the Dictionary of Literary Biography (DLB) Complete online. The DLB provides more than 16,000 biographical and critical essays on the lives, works, and careers of the world's most influential literary figures from all eras and genres.

Phytopathology journals now online

The Library converted our subscription to journals from the American Phytopathological Society to online only with 2009, and our electronic access is already active. You can now access the following journals via the Library's Electronic Resources Gateway:

Two new databases

The Library was recently given a little extra money from the Legislature to support electronic resources purchasing, and two new database subscriptions started with this money are now available via the Electronic Resources Gateway.

Contemporary Literary Criticism Select
CLC-Select is an extensive collection of critical essays on contemporary authors.

DAAI: Design and Applied Arts Index
Design & Applied Arts Index (DAAI) covers both new designers and the development of design and the applied arts since the mid-19th century, surveying disciplines including ceramics, glass, jewellery, wood, metalsmithing, graphic design, fashion and clothing, textiles, furniture, interior design, architecture, computer aided design, Web design, computer-generated graphics, animation, product design, industrial design, garden design, and landscape architecture.

Three medical journals go electronic

You can expect a lot of new electronic resources to appear in the UHM Library Electronic Resources Gateway over the next month or so. Today we added the electronic versions of three medical journals from Mary Ann Liebert that the Library previously subscribed to in print form. Converting our subscription type means we now have online access to articles back to 1999 from these journals:
